Abstract: Following treatment of oranges with methidathion, residues in leaves, green peel and fruit pith declined from 2.12, 2.12 and 0.142 p.p.m., resp., to 0.55, 0.045 and 0.0067 p.p.m. after 45 days. Residue concn in fruit pulp extracts were safe for consumption directly after application (at 0.038 p.p.m.) and declined to 0.0083 p.p.m. after 45 days. Leaves and fruits contained 3 degradation products in addition to methidathion.
