Agilent
ICP-MS are currently manufactured in two Agilent facilities:
Hachioji, Japan and Waldbronn, Germany. Japanese manufacture, plus all
ICP-MS R&D, is by Yokogawa Analytical Systems (YAN), located at Agilent's
Hachioji, Japan site. YAN was established in 1992 and is 51% owned by
Agilent, and 49% by Yokogawa Electric, and is responsible for
ICP-MS, and
some
$$lc component manufacture for Agilent. YAN also is responsible for sales
and support of all Agilent's Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis products
(
ICP-MS, GC,
$$lc, MS, Bioanalyzer etc) throughout Japan. Agilent and Yokogawa
have had joint ventures together since 1963.
