在没有配置有机进样系统的情况下,Thermo的ICP-MS工程师培训时说过,进样时试样溶液的有机物含量不要超过5%,想问下做联用时如果长时间用含 1% 甲醇的流动相(其他为水),对仪器会有多大的负面影响,具体表现在哪些地方?大家有这方面的经验吗,热切希望各位版友能踊跃探讨一下?

有机物碳化后在锥孔附近沉积,灵敏度降低。可通入适量氧气(5-10 ml/min)解决这一问题。
PE 新款NexIon300 提供了一个较大的观察窗,可清楚地看到 样品锥口附近的等离子火焰 形态、颜色,以便用户判断是否结碳、再调节通氧量。

1%左右的应该不太会熄火,但是时间长了之后会有积碳

您能说的具体一点吗,比如什么颜色/形态就表示有结碳...

积碳的问题在于双锥的清洗频繁些,当然还可以通入氧气进一步解决

对灵敏度的影响看来还是蛮大的,1%MeOH以0.7ml/min连续走了约3h后,换成标准进样发现元素的灵敏度由4万降到了2.8万左右,如版友所说的,得勤洗下锥了,各位版友洗锥的时候是两个锥(采样锥和截取锥)一块拆下来洗,还是只洗下采样锥,这两个锥在用途上有什么不同吗

刚找到两个锥的用途,不过是英文的,有些地方不太看得懂:

In order to get as many analyte ions as possible into the vacuum chamber, a water-cooled sampling cone, with a (typically) 1mm hole in its centre, is placed at the point of maximum ionization. Located behind this cone is a second nickel cone(the skimmer cone), which has a smaller 0.70 to 0.75 mm orifice in it. The purpose of the skimmer cone is to skim the beam of ions and neutral gas atoms/molecules sampled from the plasma by the sampling cone, to reduce the gas load entering the vacuum of the mass spectrometer. If this gas load is not reduced, the analyte ions will collide with species in the gas stream and are lost before they can be mass filtered and detected. The first stage of the vacuum system comprises the sampling cone and the skimmer cone, the first stage vacuum (usually around 2 mbar pressure) being maintained between them.

The difference in temperature between the cone and the plasma leads to the presence of a boundary layer. A thin cool region of gas just at the surface of the cone. By choosing the correct shape and diameter for the sample cone orifice the boundary layer can be penetrated by the hot plasma gas.

The reduction in pressure as the plasma gas passes through the sample cone gives rise to a rapid expansion of the gas. Within a space close to the cone the gas molecules reach supersonic speeds. This jet has a number of useful advantages. Molecules in a supersonic jet flow with non turbulent, laminar motion. If the tip of the skimmer cone is placed in this region, the gas sampled will have a high component of motion in the axis of the instrument and will thus be easier for the ion lenses to bring into focus.

Another advantage of sampling from a supersonic jet is that the molecules travelling at supersonic speeds do not mix with those travelling at subsonic speed. So if the tip of the skimmer cone is placed in the supersonic jet, the gas passing the skimmer cone is a representative sample of that created in the plasma, regardless of the path it has taken to reach the vacuum chamber. Good gas sampling relies on good quality sample and skimmer cones.

PE Elan DRC系列、Thermo X2系列提供的视窗太小,只能看到RF线圈缠绕的等离子焰,没法看清样品锥口附近的火焰情况。


Thermo X2好像也有的吧, 就是看火焰的透明视窗啊。好像每家都有
