Adjustments to Solutions

3. In the special case in which a procedure is adapted to the working range of an instrument, solution concentrations may differ from the indicated value by more than ten percent (10%), with appropriate changes in associated calculations.

4. Any changes shall fall within the validated range of the instrument.

5. When adjustment of pH is indicated with either an acid or base and the concentration is not indicated, appropriate concentrations of that acid or base may be used.

在特殊情况下，程序的目的是去适应仪器，溶液的浓度可能不同于指示值，这个差别能达到10%左右，这是在计算允许的范围之内的。

The original is ambiguous.

more than ten percent : 11%, 25% or even 120% are more than ten percent

I suppose that the original may mean “differ from the indicated value by up to ten percent (10%)”, i.e. if the indicated concentration is 50, solution concentration of 45 to 55 are acceptable.

(please note that“differ” may be positive or negative)
