一定不要用drift tube,最好用energy shift, 至于原因我还不太清楚。

Three ways to shift a spectrum
1. Magnetic prism – changing prism strength (Energy Shift)
2. High tension – electron accelerating voltage (Offset)
3. Drift tube – an extra retarding magnetic field, which responds faster than others, up to 1000eV shift (Drift Tube)

Default
1. Spectroscopy: Energy Shift (or Drift Tube) – not to compromise the illumination in STEM
2. Imaging: Offset – so electrons used to form the filtered image are at the alignment energy while travelling in the imaging system

I think I got it.

if the beam is well aligned, when you change the drift tube, you are changing the alignment of the energy filter. This may lead to the loss of some resolution.
