matrix (in analysis)
The components of the sample other than the analyte.
matrix effect
1. (in analytical chemistry) The combined effect of all components of the
sample other than the analyte on the measurement of the quantity.
If a specific component can be identified as causing an effect then this is
referred to as interference.
matrix effects 在下面这个帖子里面写作基质效应，根据上面IUPAC的解释，我觉得应该包括杂质吧？？杂质是不属于基质的吧http://www.instrument.com.cn/bbs/shtml/20070115/712560/

没有接触过“基质”这个概念。单从上面那句话来讲，基质是样品中除去被分析物之外的所有成分，应该是包括杂质的。

个人理解：
从定义上讲，就是除去被分析物外的其他组分对定量测定产生的共同影响，当我们能确定其中一个组分会产生影响时，就是所谓的干扰。

杂质属于基质。
基质效应是除分析物之外其他所有物质对分析结果的影响。

"The components of the sample other than the analyte."

It means everything except the analyte, so impurities are included. In practice, impurities inteferes the measurement. That's the purpose of using differnt blanks for correction.
