In general, sink conditions are considered to be fulfilled when the concentration obtained after complete dissolution of the drug is less than 30% of the saturation concentration. The saturation concentration of the drug in water at 37 ℃ is about 5g/100ml. The quantity of active ingredient used for the dissolution test is 200 mg in a total volume of 500 ml. The maximum concentration attainable at the end of the test will therefore be 0.04g/100ml, which corresponds to about 0.8% of the saturation concentration. Sink conditions are therefore fulfilled by a wide margin.
背景知识
漏槽条件是测定药物释放度时的一个指标。测定药物的释放度时要求释放介质的用量足够大，因为如果释放介质用量小，药物还没释放完就达到了饱和浓度，药物就不会继续释放了，释放度测定也就无法进行了。
