Kurt Wüthrich shares his time between the positions of Visiting Scientist at TSRI and Professor of Biophysics at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ), Switzerland. He is also Deputy Director and a Principal Investigator in the Zürich-based National Center of Competence in Research Structural Biology (NCCR Structural Biology). His research interests are in molecular structural biology, protein science and structural genomics. His specialty is nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy with biological macromolecules in solution (see Wüthrich Group at ETH Zürich). The Wüthrich Group at TSRI moved into newly constructed molecular biology/biochemistry laboratories in October 2001, and new NMR instrumentation for the Wüthrich Group has been added to the instrument pool of the TSRI. We have started NMR-focused projects in structural biology and structural genomics (see Research Projects at TSRI) and look forward to further strengthening our research program by attracting some additional highly-motivated postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.
