The recycling rate has been defined in the WEEE directive, but no homornized standard on how to calculate exist! Some insititutes said that they used the formula suggested by DTI, GG416. But, in fact, there is no special definition on which kind of material can be recycled or exactly recycling rate? So, question is, how to calculate the recycling rate?
I have the same question, as we''d like to know which materials/parts/substances can be resused/recycled, and how to judge and calculate the resue/recycle amount. Is there a list shown these information?
Someone said that they quoted DTI document GG416, but in fact, in this document, no how to calculate the recycling rate for materials existed, only a formula for final WEEE!
currently,specific reuse/recycle rates depend on service suppliers engaged in reusing/recycling materials,it is obviously different in different suppliers or countries,there is no standards on this and need EU government solve the problem.In the above weee assessment report of BV ,the supplier is from Germany.

But most materials can not be 100% recycled, if no official methods, it may be different rate under different recycling calculation. So, the rate regulated in WEEE becomes meaningless.
