Acceptance Criteria

1. The acceptance criteria allow for analytical error, for unavoidable variations in manufacturing and
compounding, and for deterioration to an extent considered acceptable under practical conditions.

2. The existence of compendial acceptance criteria does not constitute a basis for a claim that an
official substance that more nearly approaches 100 percent purity “ex-ceeds” compendial quality.

3. Similarly, the fact that an article has been prepared to tighter criteria than those specified in the
monograph does not constitute a basis for a claim that the article “ex-ceeds” the compendial requirements.

4. An official product shall be formulated with the intent to provide 100 percent of the quantity of each
ingredient de-clared on the label.

5. Where the minimum amount of a substance present in a dietary supplement is required by law to
be higher than the lower acceptance criterion allowed for in the monograph, the upper acceptance
criterion contained in the monograph may be increased by a corresponding amount.

6. The acceptance criteria specified in individual monographs and in the general chapters for
compounded preparations are based on such attributes of quality as might be expected to
characterize an article compounded from suitable bulk drug substances and ingredients,
using the procedures provided or recognized principles of good compounding practice,
as described in these compendia.

allow for 也有“考虑到”的意思。原文似乎想说明, 这个acceptance criteria不是随便定的, 已考虑到analytical error, variations, deterioration等因素。

可接受标准

1.可接受标准已将分析误差、生产合成过程中不可避免的变化和在实际条件下可接受的变质考虑在内。（“deterioration”的意思不理解，“恶化，变坏”？）

2.药典标准的存在并不表示纯度更接近100%的法定标准品的质量“高于”药典要求。

3.同样，即使药物是根据比专论规定的标准更高的标准制备出来的，也不表示该药物的质量“高于”药典要求。

4.配制法定标准品时应注意每种成分的用量应与标签上声明的完全一致。（“official substance”和“official product”有什么区别？）

5.如果法律规定的某种膳食补充剂中某种物质的最低含量高于专论中指定可接受标准的下限，那么该专论指定可接受标准的上限应提高相应的数值。（为什么“最低含量”高于“下限”，“上限”却要提高相应的数值，而不提高“下限”呢？难道是我理解错了？望高人指点！）

6.各专论和总论章节中规定的复方制剂的可接受标准是基于一些质量特性作出的，这些质量特性可能有望用于描述根据药典所给程序或公认原理通过良好的合成操作以合适的原料药和成分合成的药物。
