用"a couple of drops"也可以

stir比shake好

学习了
I have been reminded many times that “never” say red color, blue color etc. as they are Chinglish (i.e. it should be green grass, not green color grass). However, happyjyl is expert in this field, I therefore believe that “溶液显**色一般说成a ** color is produced” is a typical expression in chemical testing. (I also search “a red color is produced” in google, and found 4120 results)
“Never” is not absolute.
On the other hand, there may be an alternative for
add a few drops of starch, then the solution will become indigo blue.
(here I remove the word “color” from “indigo blue color” suggested by littlewing at 3/F)
1.Dissolve about 10 mg sample in 1 mL anhydrous alcohol. Add 2 mL KI solution and 4 mL dilute H2SO4, shake well, then add a few drops of starch solution to a indigo blue color.
