我正写英语报告. 我不了解quantitation 和 quantification这两个字之间的区别。我应该用 "the quantitation by NMR is corrected by..." 还是 "the quantification by NMR is corrected by..."; "quantitation by MS is not absolute" 还是 "quantification by MS is not absolute"? 谁能对我解释解释？谢谢!

quantification: 定量，量化，强调以数量来表示；
quantitation：定量,测数量【医】
个人认为"the quantification by NMR is corrected by..."和 "quantitation by MS is not absolute" 是合适的

我觉得都用quantitation比较合适，都是通过仪器手段测量（定量）的结果。
不知道专家们怎么看？

第一次遇见quantitate 这字, 好奇, 看了一些字典解释, 择录如下:

quantitate

To measure the quantity of. Esp. with high accuracy and including measurement uncertainty, as in quantitative analysis.

quantify

to determine, express, or measure the quantity of

to assign a quantity to

觉得quantitate 指量度, 并强调是精密的量度

quantify 也指量度, 但另外还有一解: to assign a quantity to, 意为量化。即是将非量值之attribute (属性, 特征)用量值表示出来。例如用1至10来量化痛楚程度。

As mentioned before, I have never encountered the word “quantitate” (also NMR) and have no idea of its correct usage. The above is for your reference only.
