各位老师，请教一个问题：刚刚考完试，放假了，没回国现在在实验室给老师帮忙，赚些RA的钱。今天下午老师给了一个 dietary Supplements Sample: Glucosamine:Chondroitin (3:1) Blend,让我develope one assay for this system.
我现在手头上面的资料：
1）Glucosamine HCL : HPLC 1100, C18 4.6X150mm, 0.1% Phosphoric Acid& ACN (mobile phase). the Conc of Sample Solution and Std Solution=0.1 mg/ml.
2)Chondroitin Sulfate : C18 4.6X 150 mm, Mobile phase( 0.5 g Octanesulfoinc acid sodium in 1000ml H2O), Std Solution ( Chondroitin Sulfate Std 100 mg in 100ml Water). Sample Solution ( 75 mg Chondroitin Sample in 100 ml Water).
flow rate= 0.6 ml/min, Inj Volume =5.0ul.

现在的样片是Glucosamine 和 Chondroitin Blend (3:1)混合物，真的不知道如何找出一个办法来表征， what is a good method?真的不好回答，烦请各位老师帮帮，或者给些建议，谢谢。

your mentor give u a difficult question.
For Glucosamine hydrochloride, it is easy, you can get the assay method from the usp. So you don't need to validate it.
However for chondroitin, it is difficult. chrodroitin is not a single compound,it is a polyscharides, so can can't directly test it by HPLC, it have many peaks in chromatogram. General, it was test by CPC, which you can get by USP. However this method is not specific. Now it was test by HPLC after the chondroitin was hydrolysided with specific enzyme.

your method for chondroitin don't work. hehe
