原文是这样的：
The pump is typically a single-strock-type(syringe) pump or a highly dampened reciprocating pump with pressure fluctuations not exceeding+_0.3% of the operating pressure.

不知道这里所指的single-strock-type pump 和 highly dampened reciprocating pump 是什么类型的泵，应该如何翻译？
请大虾们指点！谢谢！

尽管有了正确的中译, 我也不知那是什么。  Therefore, this is not a problem of language, but a matter of knowledge of machincal engineering.

有趣的是, what is 泵?  这只是pump之译音 (也有译为“帮浦”)。 不过, “泵”已溶入现代汉字, 大家都理解“泵”is a mechanical device that moves fluid or gas by pressure or suction.

damping coefficient  : 阻尼系数。  但一直不明白为什么译成 “阻尼”, 特别是“尼”字。
