The  Laboratory  of  Pesticide  Residue  Analysis  (LARP)  of  the  University  Jaume  I 

LARP  consists  of  20  team members  including  8 Doctors  of  Chemistry:  the Director  of  LARP,  6
Study Directors and/or Principal Investigators, and the Quality Assurance Director.

The  Laboratory  of  Pesticide  Residue  Analysis  (LARP)  of  the  University  Jaume  I  has  broad
experience in organic residues analysis at trace levels in environmental and toxicological samples.
The main  services  provided  are  the development of  analytical methods  and  the  determination  of
residues  of  pesticides  in  a  wide  range  of matrices  (vegetables  and  environmental matrices).  All
studies are conducted  in accordance with a quality system complying with  the Principles of Good
Laboratory Practices, GLP,  (OECD). The  laboratory was  first  accredited  in  2001  and  is  currently
accredited  with  GLP  (Certif.  nº.  03/17/BPL22)  covering  the  performance  of  studies  for  the
authorization  and  registration  of  plant protection  products. GLP  is  a  requirement  for  this  class  of
testing under Council Directive 91/414/EEC.
