通晓英语汉语的表达方式，做到神似可以兴不似

diffidence是“缺乏自信”，“内向”可用introvert。与之相反的是extrovert（外向）。这两个词都是HR用来评价雇员性格时常用的，是很好的商务英语词汇。

arbitrary是“武断的”、“独裁的”，是贬义词，这里还是改为casual或easy going（随意、容易相处）为好。easy going也是商务英语中评价一个人时常用的词。

my suggestions：

楼主的中文写得很好，但如果对照中文逐字逐句译成英语，既很困难也无必要。英语作文最忌讳先写成中文再逐字翻译，而应该直接用英语思维。按照翻译大家薛范老师的话，翻译应该是“掰开了，揉碎了，重新塑一个”，即理解、吃透原文，然后用自己的话把原文的意思再现出来。楼主可以参考一下下面的翻译：

林黛玉冷笑道:"为什么助他?我也不犯着劝他."
"Why should I egg him on?"Daiyu gave a little snort. "I can't be bothered with offering him advice either."

金山词霸之类的词典解释太过简单，而且用中文意思查找对应的英文单词时不太准确。汉译英时可以参考句酷，这是个很好的双语例句词典，上面有很多文学名著中的例句，是灵活翻译的典范。而且通过句子来学习词汇是最好的方法，可以了解一个词在不同场合下的用法。但是因为翻译的灵活性，查到的词汇也并不都很准确，这就需要多看些例句。对于看完很多句子后仍然拿不准的词，可以看thefreedictionary和wikipedia的英文释义。这是两个非常好的在线词典，比金山词霸解释得详尽多了。
