有些单词常见，可是翻译就很麻烦，会想不通。

stretch：伸长，拉伸。factor：因子，因素。大致意思就是这个参数是曲线的拉伸（或延展……）因子，通过改变这个参数可以改变曲线的形状，（参数增大则曲线拉伸，参数缩小则曲线收缩），具体怎么翻译还得结合你的设备的具体情况来看。

我没有看到profile跟动词的搭配, 看来这里只有翻译成曲线了。
在金山词霸里，翻译成某某曲线、某某图或者某某面的都有，联系上下文决定吧。

I just read an article about the late Leonard Creasey “……he was associated with the design of such the high profile projects as the Post Office towers in London……”.  The words high profile here is 备受瞩目.

This also reminds me the other words “handle this matter in low profile” => 低调处理.
