air separation plants 以行业俗语称：空气分离装置，叫工厂也行，通常一套装置也就是了一个厂。大的工厂有几套至十几、二十套装置。
此仪器只配属于钢铁企业中有炼钢项目的空气分离装置，炼铁用氮、炼钢用氩。考虑到生产的周期性，氩产量和负荷会有周期性变化，用这种仪器监控调节氩半成品，实现装置稳定生产。

这台仪器本身就是一台色谱和等离子发射光谱联用仪。所以配备了两个净化零位和载气的加热净化器。
