Fig. 2 shows the PCA eigenvectors for the first two components that
explain most of the spectral variation in the samples analysed. The highest eigenvectors showed that water is the dominant feature
in the spectra in PC1 and PC2 (1450nm and 1930nm associated
with O–H second and first overtones). Additionally, eigenvectors
in PC1 and PC2 were observed around 1730nm associated with
C–H first overtones (oil present in the grain) and between 2200 nm
and 2300 nm associated with C–H combinations and overtones.
