Attention is drawn to possiblity that some of the elements may be the subject of patent rights .ISO shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
For example, ISO 1234-2008 specifies that XXX connector and YYY method (so called elements ?) shall be employed in the test. Although XXX connector and YYY method are patented product and method, ISO has no responsibility to point out (identify) its patent status in the ISO document (i.e. Testing Standard ISO 1234-2008). Therefore, if some bodies use such product and method without permission, ISO will not have any legal responsibility.
