上下文不光是指这一句的前一句和后一句啊。这是关于什么东西的文章、是哪个专业的、这里的assessment tool是指的什么……这些最好都告诉大家。

fall along 在这里是否可以理解为have a property of？指此设备具有具有一个介于传统和高效组织的连续性？

另：从整句来看，这样翻译也是比较和谐的。

fall along本身就含有 with的意思

“traditional” and “high performing” are two extremes and there is something in between.  There is a similar case:  “strong acid” and “strong alkaline” are two extremes and there is PH=2...7...9...13 in between; 2 to 13 is the continuum.

The keyword for translation is “where”.  Where is the position of the “facility”?  Is it closed to “traditional” or “high performing”

I suggest the primary translation as follows:
This assessment tool 用于评价 facility 较接近 traditional organizations还是 high performing organizations.

The proper translation of “facility”, “organization” etc. will depend on 前一句和后一句, 这是关于什么东西的文章、是哪个专业的、这里的assessment tool是指的什么……
