The solutions of the sample were cleaned up by liquid/solid chromatography after addition of sixteen 13C12-labelled internal tetra- through octaCDD/F’s standards. Prior to the gas chromatographic analysis, two further 13C-labelled PCDD/F standards were added to the PCDD/F fraction for the determination of the recovery of the internal standards.
